Last week, we at ECHO were very excited to welcome Chris Alexopoulos, a fishery and wildlife specialist from the Green Mountain National Forest Service.

He gave two presentations on Wednesday (with a special appearance by Smokey Bear) about different animals and their contributions to the forest. He taught everyone about different types of salmon, foxes, ducks, bluebirds, and more while displaying taxidermy animals for the audience to enjoy.

With this information he emphasized the importance of keeping the National Forests clean. As a wildlife specialist he does what he can to help the environmental aspects of the forest, which in turn helps the wildlife and the natural health of each individual species.

Chris will be back this Wednesday another set of presentations, this time focusing on forestry/timber and habitat management. This is an ongoing series throughout the summer so stop by and learn all about it.

Last week was awesome and we encourage you to stop by for more fun!
