As Firkin Thursday approaches, we're getting thirsty and excited! Join us this Thursday from 6-9 p.m. right at ECHO to try out some incredible brews, meet the makers, and have a blast! 

To help us all prepare, we're bringing you this series of brewer introductions. Now, meet Shipyard Brewing's Jim Bellisle and Jason Silevinac.

How many beers are you bringing? 

1 beer. Shipyard Signature Series Smashed Pumpkin (learn about it here)

Tell us a little about the Firkin Thursday brews: what will you serve? What does it taste like? Have we had it before or is it completely different?

9% rich and complex Imperial Seasonal.

A little background about your brewery: when was it founded? Where? Why? 

Shipyard Brewery built in 1994 in Portland, Maine.

What is your role in the local/regional beer scene? (What sets you apart?)

Original focus was on bringing English Style Ales to the masses.

Why Firkin Thursday? What are you most looking forward to about this event? Is this your first time?

Evolved through the years to produce a vast spectrum of unique and diverse style beers.

What else should our readers know about you?

Now one of the top 25 Craft Breweries in the country.
